The String Bag is perfect for larger produce, artisan breads, and other goods. Muslin and Mesh bags take care of produce, and double for storage at home.
Cotton material is GOTS certified for both ECOLOGY and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY for the entire production process, including growing, harvesting, spinning yarn, weaving/knitting fabric, and sewing. Jute is a natural native plant that requires no irrigation, being drought and environmentally friendly. Made of unprocessed cotton and jute, they bring additional benefits to our health and environment by avoiding highly toxic pesticides, fertilizers, bleaches, and dyes used in regular crops. Designed, packaged, and shipped in the United States, cotton & jute grown and bags manufactured in India.
USE TIP
Shopping Bag Bottom Support: a rigid bottom support will help keep bottles and heavy items in place, and allow the bag to stand up easier. Just cut a piece of heavy cardboard to size, 14 x 7 in, and place it into the bottom of the bag. This also helps keep the bottom clean, just recycle it and replace it with a new one when it gets worn out.
Produce Bags Storage: For storing delicate greens (Lettuce, Herbs, Green Beans, etc.), spray and place in a damp bag in the fridge. Other produce (Avocados, Mushrooms, Broccoli, bulk bin items), can be stored in dry bags, in fridge or pantry.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Organic Canvas & Jute Grocery Bags: spot clean jute and canvas panels with a wet soapy cloth, then flat or line dry. DO NOT MACHINE WASH, BLEACH, OR IRON.
Produce and String Bags: easy to care for by machine or hand washing in COLD water then flat or line dry. Made of unprocessed fabric, never washed or bleached, so they will shrink, but can stretch back out by pulling on the fabric and smoothing the wrinkles. Permanent shrinkage will only be 7-10%.
