This set of Vegan Wax Wraps and Bread Storage Bags is great for storing homemade loaves of bread to keep them fresh and delicious, & the bags can even be used while shopping for fresh baked bread at the market. With a wrap and bag combination perfectly sized for long baguettes and wide loaves, you won’t have to worry about your bread going stale again.
The Vegan Wax Wraps are the perfect replacement for disposable plastic wrap and zip-top bags. They are durable and moldable, allowing your bread to stay fresh on the counter or in the freezer. The X-Large sized wrap is 16 x 16 in. and the Large sized wrap is 12 x 12 in. Our GOTS Certified Organic Cotton Fabric is coated in 100% pure Candelilla Wax, Natural Pine Gum Resin, and Organic Golden Jojoba Oil, and are all handmade in California. The thick hand-coating of wax allows these wraps to last up to twice as long as standard machine-waxed wraps, keeping them sticky & moldable and keeping your bread fresh!
The Bread Bags are great for storing wax wrapped loaves, to cut down on single use plastics and other landfill waste. The printed bags are much more compact than a conventional bread box, as the double drawstrings close up the bag and tie around to secure the bread compactly, all while keeping the wax wraps clean & protected. Baguette sized bag measures at 30 in. x 7 in. and the loaf sized bag at 16 in. x 12 in. Designed, packaged, and shipped in the United States, vegan wax wraps are handmade in California, cotton grown and bags manufactured in India of GOTS Certified Organic Cotton.
USE TIPS
For long baguettes, overlap two wraps diagonally at the corners, place the baguette on top, fold the ends up and wrap like a burrito. For large round loafs, place the loaf on a wrap, pull the corners up, and fold the edges like a present. Flip the bread over, placing the exposed top on the second wrap and repeat for a fully wrapped loaf! Press your fingers around the seams to seal the two wraps together.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Before first use, wash in the wax wraps in cold soapy water, rinse, and air or pat dry. Use the warmth of your hands to soften the wrap to create a breathable seal. When cool, the wrap will hold its shape. Store clean and dry wraps inside this bag in a cool dry place to avoid collecting dust or dirt.
TO AVOID DAMAGING WAX WRAPS
Do not cut on with sharp objects (knives, forks, etc.) or scrub with abrasive materials (steel wool, dish brush, rough sponge, etc.). Never place near flame or in contact with hot surface, water, or food, as this will melt the wax. Not for use in a microwave, oven, or dishwasher, and do not use on raw meat or fish.
